Oh my god. That story is so sad I am actually crying. Mr Hall where do you find this stories, they are just so amazing and relate to actually experiences that a ordinary person could go through. I believe that this story well bet the rest and become the best one by far.
I really enjoyed this story, though, it was really sad, I had tears in my eyes. I could not even imagine what this man in the story was going through. I also agree with Sharni, I believe this is the best story so far...
Glad you liked it girls. I think the style of writing in this is a lot more plain and straight forward. I think Etgar Keret's got a more interesting style of story writing, but yeah, I really like this story. One of my old faves.
My older brother found the "Twist in the Tale" short story collection that this story is from in a second hand book shop about 20 years ago. Christina Rosenthal is the very last story in the book. He thought it was awesome, so posted me the book and insisted I read it.
If you feel like reading a book, instead of just a short story that is awesome but will make you cry like a baby, read "Marley & Me" by John Grogan.
I think the movie is on TV this weekend, but the movie doesn't do it justice. You should definitely read the book. Brilliant stuff.
